Forest Bathing

Forest Bathing, kickboxing, walking or relaxing on a yoga cushion – anything, as long as it is outdoors, is the order of the day

However, forest bathing is more than just a new trend with a pretty name. It is primarily about mindfulness and your conscious awareness of nature and the colours, fragrances, and sounds of the forest. Theoretically, you can “bathe” in the forest on any walk through the woods, however brief or ambitious. To experience this, it is important to submerge yourself into the forest completely, leaving your intentions at the woodland’s edge. Forest bathing is above all about slowness and calm. Whether for ten minutes, several hours or a whole day. This way, you can lower your blood pressure and cortisol levels as well as your nerve activity. In the densely wooded surroundings of Baden-Baden, all you need to do to go forest bathing is to step outside. And once there, all you need to do is to take in your surroundings with all of your senses.

Workout in Nature - a dream!

Active movement in the forest and in nature has the same positive effect on body and mind. For many activities, our fitness trainers will take you out to the fresh, cooling forest or the beautiful park which fronts Villa Stéphanie. All personal training workouts can be done outside if the weather is good (see “OUTDOOR”infobox).

Pilates, the effective whole body training technique, which strengthens, mobilises and stretches all parts of the body through precise and controlled movements with special breathing patterns, is particularly popular Good air, the chirping of birds, and fresh grass. “The relaxation effect is twice as great outside in nature”, says pilates trainer and sports scientist Katharina Sippel.

Henri Charlet, European Champion and repeat German Champion in kickboxing, also likes to train in nature. He supports guests on their path to burning calories and enhancing their mobility with kickboxing and mental training.
