Most recently, she caused a sensation with her interpretation of a baroque fountain in Münster, not to mention her paintings which were created as a reaction to the presidential election in the USA. In a solo exhibition by the American artist Nicole Eisenman, this year’s Brenners Artist in Residence, the Kunsthalle Baden-Baden is showing some of her courageous imagery. Eisenman made a name for herself in the 1990s New York art scene by incorporating political and personal motifs into her epic paintings.
