The sports experts Kevin Heuckeroth and Katharina Sippel create individually tailored fitness programmes that are both fun and effective.

“Sport kills you, and healthy, calorie-reduced food tastes like nothing. And then I’m supposed to relax? I can’t manage that in my everyday life.” Graduate sports scientist and personal trainer Katharina Sippel knows this train of thought all too well. But she’s sure of one thing: “At Villa Stéphanie, you can do it! With a programme that’s tailored exactly to you.”

Together with personal trainer Kevin Heuckeroth, she approaches these kinds of cases by sifting through all the motivation factors that are out there. “It’s usually about losing weight,” says Sippel. She always looks at the overall picture of the person to find out where the extra pounds are coming from. Nutrition, lack of exercise, too much stress? “We have many returning guests who come here twice a year and have already trimmed off a lot of body fat because they do well with their personal nutrition and fitness programme at home. The stay at Villa Stéphanie is always like a refresher that’s incredibly important. It helps avoid falling back into old habits.”

The individual programme begins with a body check in which one’s muscle mass, body fat mass and health status are analysed. A diet plan is then drawn up together with experienced nutrition coaches. Doesn’t “diet” sound daunting - like another word for crispbread? “That’s why we prefer to call it ‘healthy cuisine that tastes fantastic’,” says Katharina.

Afterwards, the guest can try out different sports to see what makes them feel good. “It’s actually quite easy to bring new momentum into life so that people feel comfortable in their skin again. We will show you how exercise can be fun and that healthy living is a great pleasure.” Kevin Heuckeroth sees the many good results on a daily basis. “It’s great to see how guests’ mobility improves dramatically after four weeks.”
