4 cl of Aalborg Dild Akvavit
8 matjes (young herring) fillets
1 bunch of dill
1 tsp of mustard
2 red peppers
Dark rye bread
Wash the matjes fillets and pat dry. Finely grate two limes and then press them out. Cut one lime and the pepperoni into very thin slices. Mix all ingredients with the matjes fillets. Cut the dill coarsely and mix with the fillets. Add Aalborg Dild Akvavit, cover and let stand for a day.
Serve the matjes on buttered slices of rye bread.
