For Lena Bröder, one dream has become reality: she is the new Miss Germany. The teacher prevailed at Europa-Park against 23 other competitors. “I think that I am a role model for my pupils, and can make it clear to them that you have to fight to achieve your goals”, said the 26-year-old. The brunette had already taken part in 30 beauty pageants, but had not let herself be discouraged. Now she is the one wearing the crown. Bröder is taking a sabbatical to represent her country as the beauty queen.
The celebrity jury didn't have it easy. All 24 finalists aged between 18 and 27 years shaped up sensationally in both their evening dresses and bathing costumes. These beautiful women presented themselves during a breath-taking show. Posture, character, humour, charisma, wordplay and, of course, appearance all came under scrutiny.
The candidates had prepared themselves rigorously, spending a week at the hotel ‘Colosseo’ and enjoying all the gastronomy that Europa-Park had to offer. “For me, great food is the key to satisfaction”, says Lena Bröder. She's looking forward to an eventful year, which will take her as far as Thailand where she will enter the running for ‘Miss Earth’ at the next beauty contest, where she will represent Germany.
