It is no secret that Peter Hagen-Wiest is one of the best chefs in the country. But now he has it once again in black and white. The two-star chef from the “Ammolite - The Lighthouse Restaurant” at Europa-Park has been voted 26th among the 100 best chefs in Germany 2020 at the “Rolling Pin Awards”. The restaurant located in the lighthouse of the 4-star superior hotel “Bell Rock” thus continues to belong to the top gastronomic scene. The Rolling Pin Awards are considered to be one of the most important such awards. More than 13,600 employees of the German gastronomy and hotel industry first nominated the best chefs and then voted for their favourites among the 100 most nominated.

Hagen-Wiest has been running the “Ammolite” since July 2012 and was awarded his first Michelin star in 2014 and the second only a year later. The top chef cultivates an eclectically inspired cuisine in a classic style that combines the familiar and the new in his own way. Creative sophistication and attention to detail are at the forefront of Hagen-Wiest and his team.
