Bar keeper Andreas Westermann recommends

Ingredients (2 cl)
1⁄2 apple (Elstar or Jonagold apples are the best varieties to use)
1 knob of ginger (depending on how hot you want it to be, half a knob is also plenty if it’s a large piece)

Peel and roughly dice the ginger. Cut the apple in half. First, put the ginger into a juicer, then add the apple and enjoy.
