Donations and gestures of joy

Even during the Corona pandemic the park hasn’t forgotten about the people needing help in the region

Even during the Corona pandemic, which was also difficult for Europa- Park, the park hasn’t forgotten about the people needing help in the region. Europa-Park supported relief organizations during the Corona pandemic with a wide range of activities. These included the donation of 25,000 rain ponchos as protective clothing for nursing staff in Alsace, food for food banks and 10,000 chocolate bunnies for hospital staff. Park performers were also on hand as ambassadors of joy. They performed flick flack and juggling in front of senior citizens‘ homes. Crisis management at the park itself included fair treatment of employees. Around 2,000 permanent employees had to go on furlough during the government-ordered closure. The park topped up their furlough salary by 20 percent.
